Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin 'yet to open talks with interested clubs'

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is reportedly yet to be given permission to speak to other clubs about a potential summer transfer.

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is reportedly yet to be given permission by the club to discuss a possible transfer with various suitors.

The Frenchman is believed to be keen to leave St Mary's this summer in order to fulfil his desire of playing European football.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the 25-year-old's services, but recent reports have suggested that Manchester United are closing in on his signature.

Despite the speculation, ESPN reports that Schneiderlin has not yet been given the green light by the Saints to speak to any of the several clubs who have expressed an interest.

Schneiderlin's current contract at St Mary's expires in 2017.
