Southampton have reportedly identified Evian TG defender Daniel Wass as a replacement for Nathaniel Clyne if the England international leaves the club this summer.
Clyne has been linked with a move to Manchester United following an impressive season for the Saints this term.
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is said to be looking at potential alternatives, should the 24-year-old depart St Mary's.
One of those options is believed to be Denmark international Wass, who has had a good season in Ligue 1 for Evian.
The 25-year-old, who can play at right-back or on the right-hand side of midfield, has hit 10 goals in all competitions this season and contributed five assists.
According to The Mirror, Wass has 12 months remaining on his current deal and could be available for just £1.5m.
Wass joined Evian from Benfica in 2012.
