Report: Mauricio Pochettino to swoop for Jesus Gamez

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly eyeing a swoop for Malaga defender Jesus Gamez in the summer.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to swoop for Malaga defender Jesus Gamez this summer, according to a report.

The Saints boss has reportedly been handed a £30m transfer budget to help his side build on their 14th-place finish in the Premier League this season.

Pochettino is looking to bolster his defensive options after his side conceded 60 goals during the campaign and feels that Gamez will be the perfect addition to his squad, according to The Mirror.

The 28-year-old has made 34 appearances in all competitions this season for Malaga.
