Southampton's Ronald Koeman wants Morgan Schneiderlin's future sorted quickly

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman says that he wants Morgan Schneiderlin's future to be sorted quickly after rejecting Manchester United's opening bid.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has claimed that he wants Morgan Schneiderlin's future resolved sooner rather than later.

The French midfielder is believed to be keen to leave St Mary's in search of Champions League football.

Koeman confirmed last month that Manchester United had lodged a bid, but the club did not take the rumoured £20m offer seriously.

"Two weeks ago we had a bid off Man United - it wasn't enough and no more bids today," Koeman said in a press conference on Monday afternoon.

"Everybody knows the situation of Morgan. I can understand the player, if he can get a good move to a big [club], I understand it, but I hope that if there is any business that it will be soon because it's best for the player and best for us."

Schneiderlin attempted to orchestrate a move away from Southampton last summer, but the club convinced the midfielder to stay put for the season.
