Southampton's Maya Yoshida to miss rest of the season with knee injury

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino reveals that Maya Yoshida is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that defender Maya Yoshida is expected to be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 25-year-old, who joined the club in 2012, has struggled to maintain a starting spot under Pochettino this season.

It has now been confirmed by the Argentine that Yoshida is unlikely to feature in the club's remaining seven games of the campaign due to an injury that he picked up in training this week.

The Saints are currently ninth in the Premier League table.
