Mauricio Pochettino praises English trio

Mauricio Pochettino praises Southampton's English goalscoring trio after a comfortable victory over Fulham.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised his side's scorers during their victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez all found the back of the net in the Saints' 3-0 victory this afternoon.

"If [England coach] Roy Hodgson was in attendance at the game against Yeovil, Arsenal and Fulham, he would have seen those three games live and in these three games our strikers scoring goals," Pochettino told reporters.

"It was very important that the three strikers got goals and got on the scoresheet and that's always going to increase their chances of making it to Brazil so that was important for them."

Southampton are back in action next weekend when they face Stoke City at St Mary's Stadium.
