Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has refused to get carried away with Sunday's 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Lallana opened the scoring at St Mary's as the Saints climbed out of the relegation zone.

"We've achieved nothing yet," the 24-year-old told Sky Sports News. "We have got a tough game on Wednesday, where we want to make it three wins on the bounce.

"It was the start of the big week and we were just looking to build momentum and make [St Mary's] a fortress as well."

Southampton continue their league campaign with the visit of Norwich City on Wednesday.
