Southampton captain Adam Lallana says that the players are "enjoying" the management of Mauricio Pochettino and expects a first win for the Argentinian to be just around the corner.

Southampton captain Adam Lallana has said that it is only a matter of time before the Saints pick up their first win under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Saints have drawn two of Pochettino's three games in charge while the one defeat was a narrow one at league leaders Manchester United.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that Southampton's performance was the best from an away side this season at Old Trafford.

Lallana, 24, is impressed with Pochettino's style of play and is sure that a win is just around the corner.

"[Pochettino] definitely wants us to press and win the ball back higher up the pitch. He wants us to keep high up as a team and just play imaginative football," said Lallana.

"He wants the front people to be the creators and have full-backs bombing on. It's a good way to play and the lads are enjoying it. He's getting the tactics across to us and I'm sure we're not far off our first win.

"It's just up to us to turn these good quotes and performances into points. We want to be in the Premier League next season, that's the goal."

The Saints welcome defending Premier League champions Manchester City to St Mary's later today. They currently sit three points off the relegation zone in 16th.
