Southampton keeper Fraser Forster is determined to put the pressure on Joe Hart to become England's number one keeper.
The 26-year-old played in the Three Lions' friendly victory over Scotland last month, but remains firmly behind the Manchester City stopper in the pecking order.
However, Forster is hopeful that his form for the Saints will put the heat on Hart and force boss Roy Hodgson to make a difficult decision when England are next in action in March.
He told reporters: "It's obviously something I've dreamt off as a kid - to be England's No 1. But Joe Hart is a top goalkeeper himself and playing at Manchester City. It's important I work as hard as I can and put as much pressure on him.
"Me and Ben Foster, at West Brom, will be doing that - working as hard as we can and putting as much pressure on Joe as possible. Joe is a fantastic keeper and so is Ben, we're a great group when all together.
"It's important I play as well as I can for Southampton. It's a long time until I've got another international game so it's about concentrating on club football."
Forster has kept seven clean sheets in the Premier League this season in 14 appearances.
