Dan Petrescu on Southampton shortlist?

Former Chelsea full-back Dan Petrescu is believed to be a managerial target of Premier League club Southampton.

Southampton have reportedly added Dan Petrescu to their managerial shortlist.

The Saints have been without a boss since Mauricio Pochettino took the decision to leave for Tottenham Hotspur late last month.

A number of managers, including Ronald Koeman and Michael Laudrup, have been linked with the vacancy, but now former Chelsea defender Petrescu has materialised as a contender, according to The People.

The Romanian, who is currently out of work, has taken charge of clubs in his homeland, Poland and Russia.
