Middlesbrough are allegedly planning an approach for Sheffield Wednesday defender Morgan Fox.
The 26-year-old has spent just over three years at Hillsborough, contributing three goals from 102 appearances in all competitions.
However, with less than three months left on his contract, Fox is expected to depart the Owls during the next transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Boro are monitoring the situation ahead of a potential bid for the left-back.
The North-East outfit reportedly intend to prioritise a new signing for that area of the pitch later in 2020.
Having made cutbacks in recent years, bringing in an experienced player on a free transfer would tick a number of boxes behind the scenes at the Riverside Stadium.
