There are mixed fortunes for the two clubs from Sheffield as only three games in League One survive the cold weather.

Only three matches survived the freezing conditions in League One this afternoon.

It proved to be a weekend of contrasting fortunes for the two clubs from Sheffield, as United closed to within a point of rivals Wednesday with a 3-0 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers.

Will Hoskins opened the scoring for the Blades, before further goals from Ched Evans and Kevin McDonald made the points safe.

Meanwhile, second-placed Wednesday threw away a one-goal lead at Exeter City.

Jermaine Johnson put the Owls in front, but goals from Billy Jones and David Noble handed Exeter the win.

The only other game in the division saw Hartlepool and Bournemouth play out a 0-0 draw.
