Sevilla sign Mariano from Bordeaux

Sevilla bring in Brazilian full-back Mariano from French outfit Bordeaux on a three-year deal.

Sevilla have continued their summer spending with the acquisition of Brazilian full-back Mariano from Bordeaux.

The 29-year-old, who started 31 league games for Bordeaux last season, had been linked with a number of clubs this summer.

However, the Europa League winners have won the race for the right-back, who has signed a three-year contract after passing a medical on Monday morning.

A statement on Sevilla's official website has revealed that the defender will be presented to the media on Tuesday afternoon.

It is understood that Mariano cost Sevilla in the region of £2m.
