Sevilla president Jose Castro has revealed that the club are "in talks" with Jose Antonio Reyes over a new contract.
The 31-year-old is currently in his second spell with Sevilla, having returned to the club from Atletico Madrid in 2012.
The Spaniard's current deal expires this summer, but Castro has said that the two parties are now locked in talks.
"We remain in talks with Reyes and with the hope of resuming contact [with his agents]. There's nothing solid yet, it's neither close nor far," Castro is quoted as saying by Inside Spanish Football.
Reyes has been used sparingly this season, but his experience remains vital to the La Liga outfit.
