League One side Scunthorpe United have confirmed the appointment of Mark Robins as the club's new manager on a three-year contract.
The 44-year-old succeeds Russ Wilcox, who was sacked last week after less than a year in charge of The Iron.
Wilcox was removed because of the club's slow start to the season - they won just two of their opening 11 games to lie in the relegation zone.
"There are no panic stations yet," Robins told a press conference this afternoon. "We've got a lot of games left and we will put in a plan to not only get out of this but play exciting football."
Robins, who left Huddersfield Town after one game of the Championship season in August, will take charge of his first game at home on Saturday when Colchester United visit Glanford Park.
