Lewis Holtby has Premier League offer?

Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby has received an offer from an unnamed Premier League club to move to England when his contract expires next summer, according to the player's agent.

The agent of Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby has revealed that he has received an offer from an unnamed Premier League club for his client.

Holtby has attracted admirers with a series of impressive performances at the heart of an improving Schalke midfield, with reported interest from Liverpool and Inter Milan.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season but his agent Markus Noack has insisted that talks are still ongoing and no decision has been made over his future.

Noack told calciomercato.com: "We are talking with Schalke about a possible extension for another three years.

"Talks are going well at the moment but the situation has definitely changed in the last period because several offers from Spain and England came in.

"Lewis is very good at Schalke but above all there is an English club which has made a very interesting proposal. My client will have to decide whether to continue to grow in Germany or to try a new experience at the end of this season."

Holtby has an English father but pledged his international allegiance to Germany as a youngster and was capped by Joachim Low in 2011.
