Rotherham United sign former Arsenal youngster Jerome Thomas

Championship strugglers Rotherham United announce the short-term signing of former Crystal Palace winger Jerome Thomas.

Championship strugglers Rotherham United have signed free agent Jerome Thomas on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old had been without a club since being released by Crystal Palace last summer.

He recently trained with Ipswich Town, but has now signed for Rotherham and his former Palace boss Neil Warnock, who recently took over at the New York Stadium.

"I have played in the Championship before so I know what the division is about," former Arsenal youngster Thomas told the club website.

"I know what it takes to get out of the league and I know how unpredictable it can be as well.

"The main objective now is to start picking up points. I want to come here and create chances, work hard for the team and do everything I can to help the club achieve survival."

With 15 games of the season to go, Rotherham are 22nd in the Championship, five points from safety.
