Rotherham United have appointed Neil Warnock as the club's new manager until the end of the season.

The Millers have been looking for a new boss since sacking former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn on Monday.

Warnock quickly emerged as the frontrunner to take over at the New York Stadium, and has now put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 67-year-old will be charged with the task of keeping Rotherham in the Championship after a run of just 10 points from the last 36 available saw them drop into the relegation zone.

Warnock spent a short spell in charge of Queens Park Rangers during their search for a new manager earlier this season, but has otherwise been out of management since leaving Crystal Palace in 2014.

The veteran boss spent two years at Rotherham during his playing career.
