Rotherham United move up to third in League Two with a 2-0 victory over promotion rivals Bradford City.

Rotherham United moved into the automatic promotion places of League Two with a 2-0 victory over seventh-placed Bradford City this evening.

A Lee Frecklington penalty and a injury-time effort from Kieran Agard were enough to see the Millers leapfrog Burton Albion into third place on goal difference.

Northampton Town in sixth missed the opportunity to close the gap on their promotion rivals, being held to a 0-0 draw at Wycombe Wanderers.

At the other end of the table, bottom club Aldershot Town are in deep trouble following their 2-0 home defeat to Southend United, a result that leaves them four points from safety.

Barnet second from bottom are also in danger, losing 3-2 to fellow relegation strugglers Torquay United, who are now one point ahead of them in 20th place.

Elsewhere, Plymouth Argyle were 2-1 winners at Chesterfield.

Results in full: Torquay Utd 3-2 Barnet, Aldershot 0-2 Southend, Bradford 0-2 Rotherham, Chesterfield 1-2 Plymouth, Wycombe 0-0 Northampton
