Rudi Garcia wants his players to use "frustration"

Roma boss Rudi Garcia refuses to play down the importance of Wednesday's Champions League Group E match against Bayer Leverkusen.

Roma boss Rudi Garcia has called on his team to play with "frustration" when they face Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Roma led 4-2 in Germany when the pair met towards the end of last month, before two late goals saw Leverkusen claim a point.

That result left the Italian side bottom of Group E, and Garcia has called on his side to respond when the pair meet in Rome.

"Of course, we're all frustrated, and we have to use that frustration on Wednesday," Garcia told Premium Sport. "It will be an important match, the lads know it, and we've been working to prepare based on the first leg.

"We did a lot of good things, we did a lot of good things over 70 minutes, we showed we could hurt them, but they scored four goals too.

"We have to do things in a better way. In the league we know we can start strong and score first, we have to transfer that to the Champions League."

Roma will enter the match off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan in Serie A at the weekend.
