The Republic of Ireland make two changes to their starting lineup to face Austria at the Aviva Stadium.

The Republic of Ireland have named two changes in their starting XI for their home World Cup qualifying tie against Austria this evening.

Conor Sammon will partner Shane Long up front, as Robbie Keane has failed to recover from a calf injury.

Glenn Whelan is included ahead of Paul Green, who drops to the bench following his start during the goalless draw with Sweden on Friday.

Meanwhile, Philipp Hosiner will lead the attack for Austria, having netted a brace against the Faroe Islands on Friday.

Veli Kavlak starts in place of Andreas Ivanschitz, in the only change from their last match.

ROI: Forde, Coleman, O'Shea, Clark, Wilson, Walters, Whelan, McCarthy, McClean, Sammon, Long

Austria: Linder, Garics, Dragovic, Pogatetz, Fuchs, Arnautovic, Alaba, Junuzovic, Harnik, Kavlak, Hosiner
