Inter Milan are reportedly plotting a move to sign Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila in an attempt to lure France manager Laurent Blanc to the San Siro.
The Nerazzurri have been under the temporary stewardship of Andrea Stramaccioni since sacking Claudio Ranieri last month.
Last week Blanc emerged as the board's leading choice to replace The Tinkerman and he is reportedly likely to be offered a pay rise and the promise of significant transfer funds to accept an imminent offer.
According to The Metro, Inter chiefs are also hoping to sign M'Vila, who is poised to play a starring role in France's Euro 2012 campaign, to further attract the 46-year-old former Manchester United defender to lead the club next season.
Rennes manager Frederic Antonetti has admitted that M'Vila will leave his current club at the end of the season. Arsenal are also keen on his signature.
