Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has said that "everything is on the right track" when it comes to a contract extension with the Spanish and European champions.
The German's existing deal at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
Kroos has previously said that he is considering retiring from football altogether this summer, but he has again been a vital player for Carlo Ancelotti's side this season, making 41 appearances, contributing two goals and five assists in the process.
A recent report claimed that the experienced midfielder had come to an agreement with Real Madrid over a contract extension until the summer of 2024.
Kroos was asked for an update on the situation after helping Real Madrid beat Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The German revealed that talks over an extension are close to being concluded, with the midfielder preparing to sign a new deal in the Spanish capital.
"Everything is on the right track," Kroos told Prime Video after the 2-0 success over Chelsea in the second leg of the quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.
Kroos played 76 minutes of the two-goal victory in London, and he has now featured on 10 occasions in the Champions League this season, contributing two assists in the process.
The German has also turned out on 22 occasions in Spain's top flight during the 2022-23 campaign, providing two goals and three assists in the process.

Kroos made the move to Bernabeu from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014, and he has represented the Spanish giants on 406 occasions, scoring 27 goals and contributing 88 assists in the process.
A highly-successful period has seen the German win three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups, four Champions League crowns, three UEFA Super Cups and five Club World Cups.
Real Madrid are still bidding to win the Champions League and Copa del Rey this season, but they are 11 points behind leaders Barcelona in the La Liga table.
Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Luka Modric, Nacho and Mariano Diaz also only have deals with the Spanish champions until the end of the campaign.
Benzema and Modric are set to follow Kroos in penning extensions, but there remains uncertainty surrounding the futures of Asensio, Ceballos, Nacho and Mariano.
