Sergio Ramos identifies own replacement at Real Madrid?

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos reportedly identifies the players he would like to be replaced by when the Spaniard leaves the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has reportedly identified the players he would like to be replaced by when the Spaniard leaves the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Real captain, who turns 32 next year, has accepted that he may not be able to cope with the demands of both La Liga and the Champions League in the future, according to Diario Gol.

The source says that Ramos would like centre-back Nacho to continue in his place, but also reports that the defender has urged the club's board to consider Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte and Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt.

Laporte has previously been linked with Barcelona and Manchester City, but could be keen on a move to the Spanish capital, while De Ligt is a rising star in defence.

Ramos, who is believed to have a strong relationship with Real president Florentino Perez, has won four La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns in his time with the side.
