Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is to stay on at the club for the long term after agreeing a new sponsorship package, according to a report.

Neymar has reportedly made a U-turn on his Paris Saint-Germain future by snubbing the chance to return to former side Barcelona at the end of the season.

The Brazilian forward remains the most expensive player in the world following his £198m switch between the heavyweight clubs in August 2017.

A number of stories have emerged over the past six months hinting towards a Parc des Princes exit, however, with PSG having to fend off accusations that they have breached Financial Fair Play regulations and the player himself supposedly unhappy at playing second fiddle to Kylian Mbappe.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has also refused to rule out a move for Neymar next summer, while La Liga rivals Real Madrid hold a lingering interest and can afford to bring him on board.

According to Le 10 Sport, however, the 26-year-old is now leaning towards staying in Paris for the long term after agreeing a sponsorship deal with the Qatar National Bank, which is linked to PSG's owners.

Neymar, who spent four years with Barcelona, is rumoured to have a £193m release clause inserted in his contract.
