Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly turned down the chance to sign Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian international striker joined AS Monaco earlier this summer from Atletico Madrid, but it is believed that he has been left disappointed by speculation that his wages could be cut in half because of tax issues.
As a result, his representatives recently sounded out Madrid regarding a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, but president Florentino Perez turned down the offer, according to Marca.
The publication added that the 27-year-old could emerge as a transfer target for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho should he fail in his pursuit of Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.
