Mateja Kezman - the agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic - has allegedly indicated that Real Madrid are prepared to pay €155m (£137.11m) for the Lazio midfielder.
Milinkovic-Savic has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in Europe, with Manchester United having previously been linked with the Serbia international.
The 23-year-old has claimed that he is content with life at his current club but according to Corriere dello Sport, Real are prepared to spend big on the player this summer.
The report suggests that Kezman has informed Lazio that Real have decided to lodge an approach for Milinkovic-Savic, with the Spanish giants keen to open negotiations.
The funds could be raised from Cristiano Ronaldo's potential switch to Juventus and the sale of midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
Milinkovic-Savic still has four years remaining on his Lazio contract.
