Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly determined to land Los Angeles Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Ibrahimovic joined LA Galaxy from Manchester United in March and has scored 22 times and registered seven assists in 26 MLS appearances this term.
The 37-year-old had been linked with a return to United, but that move has been ruled out by Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho.
According to beIN Sports, however, Madrid are continuing their pursuit of Ibrahimovic, who could arrive at the Bernabeu in the early stages of 2019 on loan, when the current MLS season has finished.
Ibrahimovic turned out for Barcelona in La Liga between 2009 and 2011, scoring 22 times in 46 appearances.
The 116-time Sweden international has also represented the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain during a glittering career.
