French football expert Jonathan Johnson has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain will not entertain the idea of Neymar continuing to represent the club.
After spending just two years at the Parc des Princes, Neymar has expressed a desire to leave the Ligue 1 champions before the end of the summer transfer window.
At a time when Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to be linked with the 27-year-old, PSG's supporters reacted to the speculation during Sunday's league opener against Nimes by producing banners which heavily criticised the forward.
As far as Johnson is concerned, that was the signal for club officials to part ways with the player, rather than provide him with an opportunity to return to the first-team squad.
Johnson told Sky Sports News: "This makes it very clear that PSG fans won't accept Neymar coming back and playing for the team.
"They want him to leave, they don't feel he is committed enough to the club and the project that he has been part of the last two years.
"He's not even played any full season for PSG since joining, but it definitely puts PSG under a little bit of pressure now with interested clubs, notably Real Madrid and Barcelona, knowing that the PSG fans don't want him there anymore, and will make it difficult for him the longer he stays."
Neymar still has three years remaining on his contract.
