Borussia Dortmund under "no pressure" to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke claims that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does not want to leave, and says the club are under "no pressure" to sell.

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed that he is willing to hold talks with Real Madrid over the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but is under "no pressure" to sell the club's star forward.

The 27-year-old is one of the most in-demand players in European football, having scored 60 goals in 86 Bundesliga appearances since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2013.

Aubameyang is also a target for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, with talks between the two parties being held this summer over a failed move, but it is Madrid - under a transfer ban until January 2018 as things stand - who lead the race to sign the Gabon international.

Dortmund chief Watzke is prepared to talk with Madrid should they come in for the player, but is reluctant to sell should his valuation fail to be met.

"If Real Madrid come in we will talk, but it won't be easy," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We want him to stay with us.

"Unlike the players who left us in recent times, Aubameyang has a long-term contract until 2020. There's no pressure. I don't have the impression he wants to move."

Madrid are in the process of appealing their transfer ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
