Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has said that Real Madrid are likely to sack manager Carlo Ancelotti this summer, regardless of whether he leads them to success.
The La Liga giants have been drawn to face Juventus in the last four of the Champions League, while they sit just two points behind Barcelona in the domestic table.
However, Balague believes that Ancelotti will be replaced at the end of the season, even if they do become the first side to ever win back-to-back Champions League titles.
He told Sky Sports News: "If Carlo Ancelotti doesn't win the league, it will mean the Spanish giants Real Madrid have won La Liga just three times in 12 years.
"The Champions League is always the focus, and last year Sergio Ramos's last-minute goal against Atletico in Lisbon saved his head. But this year, I don't think even the Champions League would save him.
"I've got the impression the board wants a new head next season."
Madrid next face Almeria tomorrow night.
