Real Madrid keep up their title charge with a 1-0 win at Getafe.

Real Madrid have kept up their push for the La Liga title with a 1-0 win at Getafe.

After early pressure from the hosts, Madrid made the breakthrough in the 18th minute when Sergio Ramos powered a header into the net from Mesut Ozil's corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo had a trademark free kick pushed away by Miguel Moya halfway through the first half, before Miku missed with a header for Getafe.

Madrid should have doubled their lead on the hour, but Karim Benzema's shot was comfortably saved by Moya.

Gonzalo Higuain had a fierce drive spectuacularly saved by Moya with just over 10 minutes to go, while he should have done better in the final five minutes, but his touch let him down in the area.
