Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Osasuna

Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga contest with Osasuna.

The games continue to come thick and fast for Real Madrid as they prepare for Saturday's visit of Osasuna in La Liga.

Los Blancos were held 1-1 by Chelsea in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg - their fourth draw in five matches.

Zinedine Zidane's side have work to do in next week's reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge, but before then is this league clash with mid-table Osasuna.

With just three points separating the top four in La Liga, it is unlikely that Zidane will take the opportunity to rest any key players this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest in the Spanish capital.

Sergio Ramos

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Osasuna)

Madrid have been without skipper Sergio Ramos for their last nine matches because of a calf issue. However, reports from Spain suggest that he may be considered for a cameo role against Osasuna in preparation for next week's trip to Chelsea.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Osasuna)

Lucas Vazquez, who is set to become a free agent in the summer, injured his knee in the recent El Clasico defeat to Barcelona. Speaking after Tuesday's draw against Chelsea, Zidane revealed that he is hopeful the versatile wide player will be back in time for next week's second leg.

Federico Valverde

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Osasuna)

Federico Valverde has spent a period of time self-isolating after contracting coronavirus. That announcement was made on April 21, so the midfielder may be back in Zidane's plans this weekend, though it remains highly unlikely for fitness reasons.

Ferland Mendy

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Osasuna)

Ferland Mendy is another who missed the midweek European match after failing to shake off an injury in time. Zidane is hopeful of having the left-back available for the Chelsea game, but this Saturday's clash may come too soon.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

It was revealed on Thursday that Dani Carvajal had sustained a hamstring injury against Chelsea that may rule him out for the next month, effectively meaning that the full-back's season is as good as over.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for this game with Osasuna.
