Nicolas Otamendi hails Valencia win

Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi reveals his delight following Sunday's 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi believes that "everyone deserves credit" for Sunday's 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

The Argentine gained the plaudits for his towering defensive performance, while his second-half header proved the difference between the two sides.

However, Otamendi has said that the entire team contributed to ending Real Madrid's 22-game winning run.

"Everyone deserves credit for this, because we've been training for this all week. We knew they were a key opponent who always fights in attack," Otamendi told reporters.

"We kept trying to battle our way forward right to the end. This was really important for us, we've given everything to make the comeback against one of the best teams around."

Antonio Barragan was also on the scoresheet for the hosts.
