Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano delayed due to floodlight failure

Real Madrid's match with Rayo Vallacano is reportedly delayed due to floodlight failure at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.

Real Madrid's match with Rayo Vallacano has reportedly been delayed due to floodlight failure at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.

The La Liga encounter between the local rivals had been due to start at 8.30pm in the Spanish capital.

However, kick off now could be postponed for over an hour amid rumours that the floodlight cables have been deliberately cut by disgruntled home fans at the stadium.

Defending champions Madrid currently sit 14th in the La Liga table, while Vallecano are seventh.
