Legendary Real Madrid striker Alfredo di Stefano reportedly suffers a heart attack and is in a 'very serious' condition.

Legendary Real Madrid striker Alfredo di Stefano reportedly suffered a heart attack this afternoon and is in a 'very serious' condition.

Di Stefano, who yesterday turned 88, is believed to now be in serious condition at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Maranon in Spain's capital.

According to Abc.es, the honorary Real Madrid president was on a street near the Bernabeu when he suffered the heart attack.

Widely considered one of the greatest ever footballers, Di Stefano scored 216 league goals in 282 appearances for Los Blancos.
