Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone 'linked with Spain, Argentina'

Spain and Argentina are both said to be eyeing Diego Simeone as their potential future manager.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has been linked with both Spain and Argentina.

The Argentine, who guided his club to the La Liga title last season, has emerged as a frontrunner to replace under-fire Spain boss Vicente del Bosque, the Daily Mail reports.

However, Simeone has also been tipped as a potential successor to Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella, whose job is said to be hanging in the balance following a dressing room revolt at the World Cup.

Both countries are rumoured to have made tentative enquiries about the possibility of poaching Simeone after the World Cup.
