Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo left out of Real Madrid squad

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are not included as part of Real Madrid's 19-man squad for Sunday evening's trip to Malaga, while Luka Modric also misses out.

Real Madrid will be without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale for Sunday evening's La Liga clash against Malaga at La Rosaleda.

The attacking pair have been given the night off to rest following Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League.

Los Blancos have also omitted Luka Modric from their 19-man squad, as the Croatian midfielder only resumed full training on Saturday.

Club captain Sergio Ramos is back in contention, meanwhile, having missed his side's last match through suspension.

Karim Benzema is expected to start up top for Madrid as they look for the win that would lift them above Valencia into third place.
