Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he has been pleased with the performances of Karim Benzema this season.
Despite finding the back of the net four times in six matches this season, the Frenchman has come under criticism from large sections of the club's supporters.
"His performances have been good. I like his work, regardless of the goals," Ancelotti told reporters at a press conference.
"It is not a problem that the public are not behind him. Sometimes it is good, because it can motivate him."
Benzema is expected to feature when Madrid travel to Elche on Wednesday evening.
