Gareth Bale is ruled out of Wales's World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and the Republic of Ireland due to a hamstring injury.

Gareth Bale will play no part in Wales's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and the Republic of Ireland.

The Real Madrid star has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, according to Sky Sports News, which means that Chris Coleman and his team will have to fight for a place in next year's finals without their star player.

Bale was not included in Zinedine Zidane's squad for Madrid's 2-0 victory over Espanyol on Sunday after suffering injury during the team's midweek 3-1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The road to Russia has left Wales needing positive results from their final two qualifiers in order to seal qualification for next summer's tournament.

As it stands, the Dragons sit second in Group D, four points adrift of leaders Serbia and just one ahead of the Republic of Ireland.
