Carlo Ancelotti unsure over James Rodriguez absence

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says that it will take a few days before he knows how long James Rodriguez's calf injury will rule him out for.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he does not yet know the full extent of James Rodriguez's injury.

The Colombian ace came off injured in Los Blancos' 3-0 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday, with Ancelotti confirming that he suffered a calf injury.

However, the Italian was less certain over how long the 23-year-old may be sidelined for.

"James has a calf injury. We'll assess him in the coming days," he told reporters. "We can replace him well though, as Isco and Khedira are due back.

Saturday's La Liga victory saw Ancelotti's side extend their winning streak to 18 in all competitions.
