Real Madrid and Wales forward Gareth Bale has expressed his excitement ahead of the qualifying campaign for Euro 2016 in France.

Wales have never reached the final tournament of the European Championships, but Bale says that the "great confidence" in the Welsh camp means that they are in buoyant mood ahead of their Group B opener at minnows Andorra on Tuesday.

"The start of every campaign is a new chance to qualify and this one more than other is exciting because we have a team that's been together a while, great confidence and the fact more teams can qualify," Bale, 25, told FAW TV.

"It's a chance we want to take with both hands, but it's vital to get off to a good start in these groups.

"We feel we have a good team, we're able to play good football, and the main thing now is doing the job on the pitch."

Two teams from Group B, which includes Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Israel - will automatically qualify.
