Real Madrid see off Alcoyano 4-1 at the Estadio El Collao in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fourth-round tie.

Real Madrid have beaten Alcoyano 4-1 at the Estadio El Collao in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fourth-round tie.

Los Blancos took the lead midway through the first half when Karim Benzema headed in before Kaka doubled their advantage on 35 minutes with a low strike.

The home side had chances to get themselves back into the match but they were punished on 67 minutes as Jose Rodriguez curled the ball into the top corner.

Alcoyano were rewarded for their endeavours 10 minutes later when Javi Lara fired in spectacularly at Antonio Adan's near post.

However, Madrid extended their advantage in the final minutes thanks to Benzema's calm finish.
