Real Madrid include the fit-again Cristiano Ronaldo in their side to face Borussia Dortmund tonight.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in an attacking Real Madrid starting lineup for this evening's Champions League semi-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund at the Bernabeu.

The Portuguese international had been struggling with a thigh strain, but has been passed fit and will start in the attack alongside Gonzalo Higuain and Mesut Ozil.

Elsewhere, Luka Modric has been preferred to Sami Khedira in midfield, while Chelsea loanee Michael Essien will start at right-back.

Visiting Dortmund are unchanged from the side that won the first leg in Germany 4-1 last week, with Robert Lewandowski starting as a lone striker.

Madrid: Lopez; Varane, Ramos, Coentrao, Essien; Modric, Xabi Alonso; Ozil, Di María, Ronaldo; Higuaín

Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Subotic, Hummels, Piszczek, Schmelzer; Bender, Gundogan, Blaszczykowski; Gotze, Reus; Lewandowski
