Fatih Terim insists that Galatasaray will try their best to beat Real Madrid in Istanbul in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has insisted that his side will "try everything" to progress to the Champions League semi-finals at the expense of Real Madrid.

The Turkish side will head into the second leg of their quarter-final tie against the Spanish champions on Tuesday 3-0 down from the first leg played in Madrid last week.

"Anything is possible in football but when you are playing against Real Madrid things are not so easy," he told reporters.

"Galatasaray will try everything. I am sure about the ambition and enthusiasm of my players. We have prepared ourselves for any kind of result.

"If [Jose] Mourinho says he will be unhappy even with a 2-0 loss, I agree with him. He is the coach of Real Madrid. If I was in his shoes, I would think the same."

Madrid have reached the semi-finals of the competition for last past two seasons.
