Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi brands former Brazil striker Ronaldo as "the best striker" he has seen.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has revealed that former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Brazil forward Ronaldo was "the best striker" he has seen.

Messi, widely regarded as the best player in world football alongside Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, has also praised Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo.

"I loved watching players like Zidane, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo but Ronaldo was the best striker I've ever seen," he told FourFourTwo.

"He was so fast he could score from nothing, and could shoot the ball better than anyone I've ever seen."

Messi is currently in Scotland preparing for Barcelona's Champions League clash with Celtic on Wednesday.
