Turkish midfielder Hamit Altintop is in line to make his first Real Madrid appearance after recovering from back surgery.

Hamit Altintop has been named in the Real Madrid squad to take on Ajax in the Champions League tomorrow for the first time since his summer arrival at the Bernabau.

The Turkish international midfielder joined Madrid on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in May but has yet to feature for the club after having surgery on a back injury.

Despite the positive new surrounding the 28-year-old's availability, coach Jose Mourinho will have to make do without the services of Portuguese defensive duo Pepe and Fabio Coentrao, who are injured.

Left full-back Marcelo is suspended for the fixture.
