Chris Gunter has extended his contract with Championship club Reading.
The 26-year-old's previous deal at the Madejski Stadium was due to expire at the end of the season.
However, the Welshman has now committed himself to the Berkshire-based outfit until the summer of 2018.
"We are all absolutely delighted that Chris has committed to the club for another two years," manager Brian McDermott told the club's official website.
"He was one of the first signings I made after earning promotion to the Premier League here in 2012 and he has gone on to play more than 150 times for our club since.
"In that time, he has also been a real stalwart for his country, achieving qualification for this summer's European Championships with Wales, so it's a really good day for us all."
Gunter has started every one of Reading's league and cup matches this term.
