Reading beat Huddersfield Town

Billy Sharp's first-half strike is enough for Reading to beat Huddersfield Town 1-0.

Reading have beaten Huddersfield Town 1-0 at the John Smith's Stadium in the Championship.

Billy Sharp headed home Pavel Pogrebnyak's cross just after the half-hour mark to
give the Royals the points.

Huddersfield hammered on the door in the second half and the visitors had Alex McCarthy to thank for a string of saves to deny the home side.

Joel Lynch was sent off for a second bookable offence late on when he committed a poorly timed challenge on Pogrebnyak.
