Reading boss Steve Clarke wary of Fulham threat

Reading manager Steve Clarke believes that Fulham's attacking threat will provide his side with a "difficult afternoon" on the banks of the Thames this weekend.

Steve Clarke has admitted that he is anticipating a "big test" when Reading head to Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The Royals have an automatic promotion spot in their sights, having lost just one game since the opening day of the season.

A draw at lowly Rotherham last time out denied Reading the chance of making it five wins on the bounce, but Clarke insists that he is happy with the point which keeps his side's top-two hopes firmly on track.

Speaking to the club's official website, the Scotsman said: "It's another away game in the Championship, so we know what to expect - a difficult afternoon.

"We were pleased to bring a point back from Rotherham because it was a tough game for us. The team did well to get a point out of the game and we look to build on that on Saturday.

"[Fulham] have got some good footballers in their team and some dangerous players up front, and it'll be another big test for us. But like I've said before, there are no easy games in the Championship. If you look at the games across the last couple of days, there are a lot of difficult places to go and the Cottage is no exception."

Reading have lost three and drawn one of their last six encounters with Fulham.
